Important information regarding Yearbooks, computers, library books, and more!

Dear Pinon Mesa Families,

Thank you for your patience as we worked out the logistics for turning in materials and picking up students’ personal items during a very unusual end of our school year.  Next week, May 26-28, we will have a day dedicated to each grade level for drop off and pick up of materials and personal items.  Students will need to bring back any textbooks, library books, or sports team uniforms that were checked out to them this year and turn them in.  In addition, any students who checked out chromebooks and charging cords for use during our distance learning will need to bring those back on their assigned day as well.  Band students, Mrs. Hawken will let you know if your instrument needs to be turned in during this time.  We also will be handing out yearbooks to anyone who purchased one (and you can still buy one - reach out to Mrs. Crampton if you are interested), along with PE clothes and items from students’ PE lockers.

There will be different stations set up in the front parking lot for each set of items.  We ask that you enter the parking lot from Sheep Creek Road and follow the normal loop around the parking lot that we use during dismissal.  Students and parents will be required to remain in their vehicles at all times during this loop.  Staff members will be at each station to assist you.  The times for this event will be 9:00am - 12:00pm each day, and the schedule will be as follows:

Tuesday, May 26 - 6th grade

Wednesday, May 27 - 7th grade

Thursday, May 28 - 8th grade

A note on PE clothes … students have an assigned locker in the gym and are required to use that locker and to give the combination of their lock to the PE teacher.  Any student who followed this procedure will have their PE clothes and any other items from their locker bagged up and ready to pick up on their assigned morning.  If your student was using the wrong locker or changed the combination to the lock after giving it to the teacher, then we will have been unable to retrieve their items.  For any student in this situation, families will have the opportunity to pull around to the bus ramp and have your student escorted to the gym to find their belongings.  Only students will be allowed out of the car and they will have to be escorted by the teacher to the locker room one at a time.  Face masks will be required for any student exiting their vehicle.  Again, this will only be necessary if your student did not follow the proper locker room procedures.  Otherwise, their items will be bagged up and waiting for you.
